CODE OF CONDUCT
COACHES:
· The coach will not criticize players in front of spectators.
· The coach will accept the decisions of officials.
· The coach will not criticize the officials, opposing team, other coaches, fans or parents, through language or gestures.
· The coach will emphasize that good athletes are good students, and both are physically and mentally alert.
· The coach will emphasize that playing a good game is the result of teamwork.
· The coach will set an example in personal conduct at all times.
· The coach shall not use abusive or profane language.
· The coach shall not be under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
· The coach shall not smoke or use any form of tobacco on the field of play.
· The coach will treat each player, opposing coach, parent and administrator with respect and dignity
· The coach will learn the strengths and weakness of his players so they can place them in situations with the opportunity to achieve maximum success.
· The coach will protect the health and safety of his players.
· The coach will encourage and support the league’s mission to make this a learning experience.
PLAYERS:
· Have fun!
· Be a good sport, be honest, fair and always show good sportsmanship to coaches, players, officials, and fans.
· Learn the value of commitment to the team.
· Put personal goals aside for the betterment of the team.
· Show courtesy and respect to teammates, opponents, coaches and officials.
· Realize that athletic contests, including practices are educational experiences.
· Players will not engage in rude behavior or unsportsmanlike conduct.
PARENTS/FANS:
· Parents will not criticize players in front of spectators.
· Parents will refrain from “sideline coaching”.
· Parents will refrain from using profanity or gestures, tobacco or alcohol.
· Parents will support the decisions of the officials and coaches.
· Parents will encourage and display sportsmanlike conduct.
· Parents will abide by the doctor’s decisions regarding the health and safety of players.
· Parents will support the coaches and league in their mission to make this a learning experience.
